We apply our values to the way we do business and strive to achieve the Stewardship Principles in cooperation with TfNSWA Technician will be responsible for planned maintenance, minor upgrades, fault and incident response and repairs across a diverse range of asset classes such as traffic control signals (TCS), variable message signs (VMS), traffic monitoring units (TMU), variable speed limit signs (VSLS) school signs, street lighting and many more road side electrical and electronic equipmentNature of position: Permanent, Full TimeLocation: Rockdale, NSWReporting Line: Supervisor - Network Delivery TeamKey Responsibilities:Responsible for the effective inspection and repair of various TfNSW roadside device and associated equipmentResponsible to update records accurately and undertake scheduled maintenance and inspections of various TfNSW assets in the networkResponsible to ensure work teams implement and abide by Connect Sydney’s Safety and environmental requirementsResponsible for the accuracy of individual and work teams time keeping and ensuring Company policies and directions are adhered toAs a technician you will take responsibility for effectively managing your own and small works team’s daily taskRespond to asset faults, incidents, and customer complaints to investigate and repair defect’s impacting the performance and safety of various electrical and electronic devicesReport on and liaise with other stakeholders when requiredWork collaboratively and effectively with all internal and external staff members of Connect SydneyWork shift work as required and be available to respond as required by set rostersUtilise when required any training and tickets you holdBe Flexible in designated work areas and shifts to provide support or coverage when requestedMaintain active participation in an ongoing technical related personal development course to attain accreditation in one primary skillAbout You:Experience Working on TfNSW electrical, electronic and communications assetsExperience and knowledge of environmental, health and safety proceduresNSW Supervisors or contractors Electrical License.Current driver’s licenseDesirable, but not essential:Implement Traffic Control PlansAuthorised Traffic controllerCommunications Open Cabling LicenceCommunications Cabling and Fibre AccreditationsHigh Risk Work Licence (WP)Safe Working at HeightsFirst Aid, CPR and LVRPLC and/or communications networking certificate.General Construction Induction Card EWP LicenseDepartmentField ServicesHow to ApplyIf this sounds like you apply now to the Service Stream Recruitment Team via the online application button.
