Plant Operator - Trails and Waterways

Permanent, Full-time position with a Fortnightly RDO Band 3 salary range is between $62,163 and $66,288 per annum inclusive of allowances plus super Be supported with ongoing training, development, and career advancement.  The Role Working as part of a dynamic team, this position is responsible for delivering maintenance services for the city’s lakes and waterway reserves. This role focuses on natural reserves and roadsides, waterways, formed channels, wetlands, open water bodies, paths, bridges, fencing and signage within reserves.   About You To be successful, together with a genuine passion for working outdoors you will have demonstrated practical experience in civil construction and heavy plant operations along with works on waterways, drainage, vegetation, and erosion control.  Do you have the following: A HR license endorsement to enable operation of truck/trailer combinations of up to and in excess of 13.9 tonne Gross Combined Mass? Knowledge of the construction / maintenance of drains, pits, and trail surfaces? Operation of hand tools and mechanical plant used in the maintenance of trails & waterways? Demonstrated relevant work experience in basic vegetation maintenance? Knowledge of and the ability to identify indigenous plants and environmental weeds? Operation of hand tools and light mechanical plant used in horticultural maintenance?
