Let’s talk about the roles and responsibilities: We are hiring a highly motivated and experienced Network Security Architect to join our growing IT Security team. In this role, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our secure network infrastructure. You will be responsible for staying abreast of the latest security threats and trends, developing and implementing security solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement secure network architecture solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control lists (ACLs). Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security weaknesses and recommend mitigation strategies. Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends, and translate this knowledge into actionable security strategies. Evaluate, select, and implement security tools and technologies. Develop and implement security policies and procedures. Monitor and analyze network security logs and events to detect and respond to security incidents. Collaborate with other IT teams, including network operations, application development, and security operations, to ensure a holistic approach to security. Provide guidance and support to other team members on security best practices. Document security architecture designs, policies, and procedures. Contribute to the development and implementation of security awareness training programs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum 5+ years of experience in network security architecture. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification highly preferred. Strong understanding of network security concepts, principles, and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, access control, and encryption. Experience with security frameworks and methodologies, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework and CIS Controls. Experience in designing and implementing security solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
