The Role: Working within our Crows Nest office as a Paralegal, you will be a key support role in the growth of our franchised businesses as well as monitoring and ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant laws and regulations.You will assist with the day-to-day legal operations and be responsible for the coordination and issuing of various franchise documents and the continuing development of procedures and processes to ensure that CWG continues to meet all compliance obligations. You will also collaborate with a number of stakeholders across the business to support the roll-out of refreshed club design, franchise agreement compliance and management of defaults and protection of our intellectual property.  You'll work closely with the Legal Counsel and Finance team, and support the wider Support Office departments, contributing to our health and wellness initiatives through administrative and legal support. You will also take on ad-hoc projects as they arise, offering a dynamic aspect to your role. Joining our team offers the chance to be part of a supportive group of professionals dedicated to a meaningful mission, where your role will have a direct impact on our success in promoting health and wellness.  Day to day will include: Assist the Legal team with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, such as franchise agreements, vendor agreements and deeds Conduct legal research and analysis on various topics, such as franchise law, intellectual property, employment law and compliance Maintain and update legal databases, records and files Communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, such as franchisees, vendors, suppliers and external counsel Perform other administrative and paralegal duties as assigned Supporting the team in delivering legal services to organisation in an efficient and accurate manner and having the confidence of the business Manage general filing and administration tasks efficiently Keeping all data and documents well-organised Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and data protection, adhering to best practices in safeguarding sensitive information Experience and about you: Completed or currently studying a bachelor's degree in law is preferred but not essential   Diploma in Business or Legal services is preferred but not essential   At least 2 years of paralegal experience, preferably in franchising Proficient Microsoft Office skills  Experience with Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint is preferable  Passion for the health and wellness industry Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Excellent relationship builder with the ability to influence an outcome Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and time management skills Master organiser, driven towards deadlines Highly accountable and responsible Excellent problem-solving skills Self-motivated Ability to work under pressure and determine work priorities without compromising attention to detail Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential information Commitment to the process of continuous improvement Personal attributes such as honesty and trustworthiness The Perks: We practice what we preach!
