Job Description : Support management in the day-to-day operations and the busy Aquatics Program at Griffith's Mt Gravatt Aquatic Centre

The Duty Supervisor will be an integral part of the Mt Gravatt Aquatic & Fitness Centre team, supporting management in the day-to-day operations of the Aquatic Centre (25m pool, learn to swim pool and splash pool), as well the busy Aquatics Program (Learn to Swim and Squad) and additional facilities including the on-site Fitness Centre, Recreation Hall and Outdoor Courts. The role requires an enthusiastic, organised and capable worker with a strong work ethic and the ability to juggle competing priorities.

The successful applicant will be required to work before and after hours and on weekends on an ongoing basis.

It is a 2 year contract, with potential for extension. The role is part time, 25 hours per week

Roster : Week 1

  • Wednesday 2:45pm - 7:45pm
  • Thursday 2:45pm - 7:45pm
  • Friday 2:15pm - 7:15pm
  • Saturday 8:00am - 1:00pm
  • Sunday 7:30am - 12:30pm

Week 2

  • Tuesday 2:45pm - 7:45pm
  • Wednesday 2:45pm - 7:45pm
  • Thursday 1:30pm - 6:30pm
  • Friday 5:00am - 10:00am
  • Saturday 6:30am - 11:30am

This a part time (25 hours per week), fixed term position based at the Mt Gravatt Aquatic Centre, on the Mount Gravatt campus.

Qualifications : About you

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience in the Aquatics industry, including lifeguarding, water testing and staff supervision
  • Current Pool Lifeguard certificate or willing to obtain
  • Current, positive Blue Card

Salary Range

Base Salary $57,431 - $ 63, 485 (pro rata) per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation $67,194 - $69, 833 (pro rata) per annum.
