The OpportunityVeolia ANZ is currently in search of a Land Management Trainee to join our esteemed team at the Eraring Power Station. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to complete a Cert III (fee free) in Land Management, while also gaining valuable on-the-job training and experience. This position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about advancing their career in land regeneration and are dedicated to the responsible management and preservation of Indigenous lands through sustainable practices. This position has been designated for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only under the provisions of section 126 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).What's on offer Join a land management crew that is 100% First Nations representation Opportunity to work outdoors on country for the majority of the role Ongoing training and support and a friendly work environment Career progression opportunities and exposure to other areas of the business What you'll be responsible for Assist in the development and implementation of land management plans Participate in the maintenance and improvement of country land, such as fencing, weed control, erosion prevention, and revegetation projects Assist in the coordination and implementation of pest and wildlife management programs Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in land management practices Collaborate with landowners, community groups, and government agencies to promote sustainable land management practices and provide educational resources What you'll need to be successful High school Certificate or equivalent qualification preferred Construction White Card Strong interest in land management, conservation, and sustainable practices Valid drivers licence and access to a vehicle as the site is not accessible via transport A willingness to learn and interpersonal skills Veolia’s AlwaysSafe culture means that we care about the safety of people on our sites.
