Inside Sales Representative

Duties and Responsibilities: Support the sales team with creating sales documents and proposals, qualifying customers, researching leads, responding to routine inquiries and information requests. Respond to customer inquiries and prioritise customer requests that arise if Sales Representative is out of the office. Present price and terms to customers in accordance with standard company procedures. Generate new and repeat sales by providing a high level of customer service. Create strong leads by monitoring Journal of Commerce/newspaper reports, social media platforms and site visits. Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications. Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability. Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction. High level understanding of CRM and software platforms Maintain Kitchen and Office supplies. High level of accuracy for data entry to ensure accurate reporting. Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads an advantage. Enjoy problem solving and thinking outside the box to assist customers with their requirements. Understanding of operations and accounts procedures also an advantage Work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Prepare marketing and promotional goods for trade shows. Maintain up-to-date profiles of key customers, sales and rental contract documentation within our CRM software. Contact customers following sales/rentals to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints. Remain current on consumer preferences, competitor landscapes, changes in local codes and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training and trade shows, and/or reading trade journals. Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction. Build and demonstrate product knowledge of Black Diamond Group’s products and key competitive product lines in order to effectively position products. Use this product knowledge to provide technical sales and service support to customers within the territory. Qualifications: 2 years or more of sales experience in a sales or customer service industry. Demonstrated ability to create new business opportunities and develop clients in the market. Experience within construction, government, military, or mining. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have strong computer skills including the suite of programs within Microsoft Office. Overall strong proficiency and aptitude within technical fields with CRM software, previous experience with Salesforce is preferred.
