What you’ll be doing As the Category Manager – IT Procurement you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our IT procurement processes. Your responsibilities will include: Collaborating with IT stakeholders to understand requirements and develop procurement strategies that align with business objectives. Managing the procurement lifecycle from sourcing to contract management and supplier performance evaluation. Lead high-value negotiations to secure optimal terms and conditions for IT procurement activities. Conducting market research to identify potential vendors and technologies, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships. Ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in procurement activities while maintaining quality standards. Foster and manage strong relationships with IT vendors, ensuring alignment with Kmart's values and expectations. Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT procurement activities, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. Staying abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to drive continuous improvement in IT procurement practices. To be successful in this role you’ll have: Proven experience in procurement, with a focus on IT goods and services, preferably in a retail or similar fast-paced environment Extensive experience in IT procurement, with a deep understanding of market trends, technologies, and supplier landscapes. Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead high-value negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external partners. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions and optimize procurement processes.
