Our adventures capture the very essence of Australia, from the rugged red cliffs of the Kimberley to the unspoiled natural wonder of Tasmania, we bring iconic experiences to life. We operate 10 lodges in some of the most remote, inaccessible and beautiful locations. Our team of guides, drivers, camp and operations staff are passionate about the outdoors and take pride in bringing our guests on the adventure of a lifetime.The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Travel Consultant to join our team. This role is responsible for managing all the travel requirements for our customers, including liaising with clients, providing information on products and services, making reservations, and offering advice and assistance on travel arrangements.As a Travel Consultant, you are the start of our guests’ journey of a lifetime.Initially, your time will be spent getting to know our team, learning about our amazing products, and learning to use our booking system.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Assisting customers in booking travel itineraries for their holiday of a lifetime; Providing exceptional customer service and handling customer queries and complaints; Using your passion in the tourism industry to provide clients with information on our travel destinations; Making reservations for flights and accommodations prior to and after tours; Preparing travel insurance policies, and invoices; Providing information on local customs, weather conditions, attractions, and points of interest; Attending training sessions and workshops as required; Assisting with other duties as required; You will be an expert in your field and a product ambassador for Outback Spirit Tours. This role is primarily Monday to Friday, however, the successful candidate may be required to work Saturdays on a rotating roster basis. About YouYou will have a passion for travel and excellent customer service skills. You will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A background in the travel industry and knowledge of travel software systems is highly advantageous.
