Manager of Industries – Level 2 / 5DLithgow Correctional CentreLocation – Lithgow Correctional CentreEmployment Type – Ongoing, Full TimeSalary – $ 140,114 pa + Superannuation + Annual Leave LoadingYour RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced Manager that is a logical and strategic thinker with extensive people and business management experience. In this role you will be responsible for running at team of officers and inmates to undertake the Facilities Maintenance operation for the correctional centre while providing oversight and guidance to staff and inmates.As part of this role, you will need to maintain strong relationships between senior managers across Department of Communities & Justice and external stakeholders. You will also be trade qualified in any of the following fields: Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, Engineering or related as well as hold managerial qualifications.The role requires: Providing leadership and direction to support and coordinate the development of inmate programs and to ensure all CSI operational objectives are being met Deliver strong technical and management advice on business issues including procurement and contract management Manage inmate employment, education and vocational training, ensuring output and outcomes are being met inline with CSI Business Plan Strong time management and computer skills Experience working in a high-pressure environment and managing to deliver key business objectives within set timeframes Experience in managing budgets of the work area and taking responsibility to ensure that resources are effectively allocated while meeting the operational objectives Experience in managing a facilities maintenance operation. What we’re looking forAs a standout candidate you will have: Relevant trade experience Management experience with staff and business needs The successful candidate will be paid to undertake Primary Training for Certificate III in Correctional Practice Essential Requirements Relevant trade and tertiary qualifications with demonstrated management experience. Sound understanding / experience in Facilities Management.
