Your key priorities : The Room Leader will need to provide a high quality educational program in a fun, safe, warm and positive environment. For the right applicants they may also have the opportunity to act as a Responsible Person at times when the Centre Manager is absent from the Centre, assuming responsibility for the day-to-day operation and administration ensuring the provision of high quality early childhood education and care to children and their families. The right person will also be required to be flexible in their full time working hours and be able to share the role of opening and closing of the Centre.

The position reports to the Centre’s Manager or Educational Leader, who is responsible for overseeing the successful operation of the Centre and implementing the strategic direction set by the Executive Management.

What you’ll bring :

  • Relevant Qualifications as approved by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)
  • Current working with Children's Card WA
  • Current Police Check WA or National (less than 6 months old)
  • A thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
  • National Quality Standards is essential
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Desirables :

  • Good computer skills
  • Previously held the position of Responsible Person
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Current First Aid/CPR/Asthma/Anaphylaxis certificate
