Group Fitness Instructor

Seeking a Group Fitness Instructor who is passionate about all thing's health and fitness. Splash Aqua Park and Leisure Centre is seeking a Fitness Team Leader who is passionate about all thing's health and fitness. This is your chance to join a fantastic team in a Temporary Full-time position. We are searching for that someone who has strong industry experience, a passion for our community's health and wellbeing and expanding their knowledge, naturally creative and innovative with their marketing and sales strategy. What you'll be doing: To enhance the fitness opportunities of Hume City Council residents by effectively and efficiently carrying out the tasks necessary to provide high quality group fitness classes at Hume City Council Leisure facilities. Always demonstrate enthusiasm and enjoyment at having the pleasure of instructing each class. Ensure all equipment required and used is left in the same condition in which it was presented to you. Where applicable, ensure equipment is returned and placed neatly to where it is stored. Prior to commencement of class, check to see that the sound system and microphone is working and ensure all necessary equipment is in place for class. During the class, keep your participants in constant view by ensuring all activity is undertaken in front of you where practicable. Ensure all Group Fitness participants experience is a positive one by encouraging the class and praising their efforts, irrespective of their level of achievement. The skills and experience you'll bring to the role: Proven ability to effectively instruct varying types and levels of fitness classes. Proven time management skills with the ability to manage time, set priorities plan and organise work. An understanding of principles of Occupational Health & Safety as they relate to the workplace. Ability to identify customer needs and expectations, decide the appropriate action and respond accordingly. Ability to gain cooperation and communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form, to a broad range of customers from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Required Certifications & Qualifications: Qualifications in one or more of following disciplines will be required: Current Fitness Industry standard registration with Physical Activity Australia or Fitness Australia. Certificate 3 in fitness including Exercise to Music Accreditation Current Les Mills Certification Aqua Leaders Exercise Accreditation Certification in any of the following including Certificate 3 in Fitness: Metafit, Boxing, Mossa, Radical Fitness, Freestyle Group Fitness Classes. Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate. Current CPR Certificate. Current driver's licence. Why Hume City Council?
