About UsCBGU JV brings together partners CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL to deliver the Tunnel, Stations and Development (TSD) package for Brisbane’s Cross River Rail. Cross River Rail is a new 10.2 kilometre rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD. CBGU JV will deliver the underground works of the project, including tunnelling, four new underground stations, with associated above ground entry canopies and precincts.About The OpportunityReporting to the Design Director and working closely with the Rail Delivery Manager – the Design Manager will sit within the Design Management team. You will support the delivery, review and change management of a robust and cost-effective design for the allocated rail works, meeting the scope and technical requirements in line with budget and program constraints.You will be responsible for: Management of the rail related Design Package reviews, optimisations and changes by the relevant Design Consultants.Management of all relevant design interfaces.Facilitation of Design Coordination Meetings.Ensuring safety, constructability and budget is effectively built into the design and promoting improvements.Technical review of design documentation.Preparation of documentation required for project related Scheduled Corridor Access System (SCAS) closuresRail Construction Phase Services (CPS) / Request for Information (RFI) correspondence and communication management. Minimum requirements for this role include the following: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction or relevant discipline.Experience in rail design and design management in large-scale infrastructure projects is essential.A good understanding of Queensland Rail requirements and regulations.Interpretation and application of contracts and scope.Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.Working independently, managing the finalisation of the rail design delivery and Construction Phase Services At CBGU JV, we are committed to workplace diversity and career opportunities on our project.
