The Position Consultant in Emergency Medicine. Responsible for the leadership of the multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive emergency services to patients. You will provide leadership, management, training, supervision and education for Senior Medical Practitioners in collaboration with the Director Emergency Medicine and the Medical Administrator. The Facility A comprehensive healthcare hub catering to the community and its neighboring towns, offering an array of services. The facility encompasses 84 beds, including 64 overnight beds, with specific provisions such as six short-stay observation beds and four dedicated hospice beds. Additionally, the hub features six renal dialysis chairs and 14 same-day beds, ensuring a broad spectrum of medical care. The emergency department has been expanded to accommodate 15 areas, enhancing its capacity to respond promptly and effectively to urgent medical needs. This one-stop health care hub is designed to meet the diverse healthcare requirements of the community, providing a range of services under one roof for the convenience and well-being of the residents. The Requirements To apply for this position at a minimum you will Be eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA). Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine or equivalent  Possess substantial postgraduate medical experience in general medicine, general practice and/or emergency medicine. Desirable Requirements Experience or qualifications in other specialist or procedural fields. Substantial experience in emergency medicine research including study design, implementation, evaluation, presentation and publication. Demonstrated participation and skills in medical education at all levels and across multiple disciplines, in particular FACEM Part 1 and 2.
