Due to an internal transfer, the opportunity has arisen for a Venue Manager to join us and oversee our Perth event venue - which is perfectly placed for our corporate and government clientele in the heart of the CBD.

About the Role

As the Venue Manager, you will have full ownership of all delivery and operational aspects of the venues. Our business is diverse and tailored to our clients - from corporate training, planning days, teambuilding and conferences, to exams and corporate cocktail parties.

On a day-to-day level, you will be responsible for:

  • Overall operational management of the venues, including presentation and maintaining service delivery KPI’s
  • Team management including recruitment, rostering, on-the-job training, accountability and performance (with support provided from HR)
  • Pre-empting client needs to deliver outstanding customer service and professionally managing queries, feedback and resolution process
  • Venue budget management and expense tracking
  • Process management and ongoing improvement - openly sharing ideas with counterparts across our network
  • Liaising with building management

While the position is predominantly business hours Monday to Friday, some after-hours availability is required depending on the needs of our clients.

About You

In addition, you will:

  • Be an effective people manager, able to engage, motivate and manage a small, diverse team
  • Be able to demonstrate cost control and labour management experience
  • Be highly organised and methodical to successfully manage multiple events or clients simultaneously
  • Be adaptive and thrive in a fast-paced and busy professional environment
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service
  • Have the ability to confidently identify issues and quickly find the most appropriate customer centric solution
  • Be self-motivated with excellent communication skills
  • Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a valid medical exemption

It’s a bonus if you have:

  • A basic understanding of audio-visual technologies.
  • Qualifications in Event Management, Hospitality Management or Business
