The Sussex Hotel is gearing up for its grand reopening in December, following major renovations that will transform this iconic venue just in time for a busy and exciting summer season. We're looking for a Bar Manager to join our leadership team and take charge of creating memorable experiences for our guests. As Bar Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping the vibrant bar culture of The Sussex Hotel. You will lead a dynamic team, ensuring high service standards while fostering a fun and fast-paced atmosphere. If you thrive in a busy environment, have a passion for hospitality, and are experienced in staff training, promotions, and building relationships with third parties, this is your role! What You'll Do: - Lead and train a high-performing bar team for fast-paced service - Drive successful promotions and activations that create buzz and excitement - Maintain strong relationships with sales reps and third-party partners - Ensure high standards of service and compliance with licensing requirements - Monitor stock levels, ordering, and efficient cost management - Oversee daily operations of the bar, including cleanliness, customer satisfaction, and problem-solving What We’re Looking For: - Previous experience as a Bar Manager, minimum five years’ experience in similar roles. - Proven ability to train and manage staff in a fast-paced environment - RSA, RP Badge, TAB, Keno, RSG - Availability to work five shifts per week, including evenings and weekends. - Australian citizen or permanent resident.
