We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Advisor to support the Boart Longyear Australian Drilling Services division. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on working at an operational level, partnering with frontline leaders to deliver on a diverse range of HR generalist tasks, workforce planning and recruitment. As a member of the regional HR team and part of a large Global HR team, this role supports a broad scope of HR activities.

Want to know a little more about the role? Day-to-day responsibilities include :

  • Partnering with management, site leadership and employees to support key Drilling Services business objectives;- Providing advice on HR policies and procedures, ER/ IR matters, performance, and disciplinary issues;- Owning and coordinating workforce planning, including forecasting needs, promotions, transfers and employee exits;- Supporting cyclical activities such as performance reviews, compensation planning and change management as required;- Providing support in developing and implementing a variety of HR projects, plans, and continuous improvement activities (performance management, recruitment, retention, engagement);- Support recruitment and selection process when required;- Provide support and guidance to other business divisions at a national level as needed;- Ensure accurate, reliable and efficient entry of data relative to employee information into HR systems and run appropriate reports, lists and other data as required. A few other things we’re looking for :

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a HR generalist role- Tertiary qualifications in HR or equivalent (degree or diploma) desired-

  • Broad knowledge of HR policies and practices and delivering service excellence in an operational environment- Ability to engage and establish remote working relationships with key stakeholders- Capacity to travel to site on an ad-hoc basis- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
