About the role

Due to the increasing volume of work they are looking to add to their Estimating team and have a highly sought after opportunity for a Cadet Estimator to join them, learning all aspects of estimating from 2 highly experienced Estimators. We are looking for an eager to learn cadet, ideally with some experience in the construction or engineering industries. This highly sought after opportunity will be filled quickly.

Key Responsibilities for the role

  • Work closely with the estimating and project management teams to analyse project requirements and create accurate quotes
  • Research and source pricing information for materials and supplies, prepare client quotes including scope of work cost breakdowns and breakdowns
  • Develop policies and procedures for Safety and Management requirements for projects including SWMS registers, inductions, first aid requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of estimation data, projects documents and communications with clients

Skills & experience

  • A strong interest in the construction industry, especially metalwork and insulation.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to work with complex data
  • Proficiency with estimation software and MS Office applications
  • Attention to detail, strong organisational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Tertiary qualifications, or currently studying, in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or Engineering is preferred
