Maintenance Fitter

Position Summary Reporting to the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping the production machinery and equipment performing at its optimal rate, to ensure there are mínimal unplanned stoppages and breakdowns, participate in and contribute to all maintenance procedures across the factory and maintain accurate records pertaining to corrective and periodical / planned maintenance procedures.

To be Successful in this role you will need

• Trade Certificate in fitting and turning.
• Competent welding skills using MIG, TIG and Oxy systems.
• Minimum of 5 years fault finding experience in a processing environment.
• Experience with preventative maintenance systems.
• Excellent knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Experience with packaging & conveying systems will be well regarded.
• Industrial services knowledge/experience will be well regarded.
• Be prepared to work shift work and callouts when the need arises.
• Able to work autonomously.
• Display a good knowledge of OH&S work practices.
