Description As a Senior Network Engineer, your role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and managing the networking infrastructure of the organisation . Your responsibilities encompass various key areas and require a blend of technical prowess, problem-solving acumen, and leadership skills. Network Design:Designing network solutions aligned with organisational requirements for performance, security, and scalability.Developing network topologies, selecting suitable hardware and software components, and planning for redundancy and failover.2. Implementation:Overseeing the implementation of network infrastructure based on finalised designs.Configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.Deploying network services like DHCP, DNS, and VPNs.3. Troubleshooting:Utilising advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.Analysing network traffic, conducting packet captures, and employing diagnostic tools to identify root causes.4. Security:Ensuring the security of the organisation’s network infrastructure.Implementing security best practices such as ACLs, encryption, IDS/IPS systems.Staying updated with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.5. Performance Optimisation:Continuously monitoring network performance and identifying areas for enhancement.Optimising network configurations, upgrading hardware/software, and implementing QoS policies.6. Documentation:Maintaining comprehensive documentation of network infrastructure, including diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.Ensuring consistency and facilitating knowledge transfer within the team.7.
