About the role

As Transport Services Lead you are responsible for the implementation and operational leadership of CCQ’s Transport services. You will work across a diverse team to support service delivery to clients requiring assistance with transport across several service models

You will:

  • Lead the successful and efficient operations of CCQ transport services across Queensland, including overseeing allocation of driver schedules and client referrals.
  • Lead process and guideline development and schedule responsibilities across teams to support the delivery of CCQs transport services
  • Work with internal teams to ensure transport vehicles undergo routine maintenance and implement regular inspection procedures and reporting processes.
  • Develop and deliver regular activity reports and maintain appropriate and accurate records to determine opportunities to enhance service delivery and drive service improvements
  • Ensure relevant Human Services Quality Standards are reviewed and implemented regularly as part of CCQs commitment to the delivery of quality services and respond to feedback as required.
  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives by leading the development of a Transport Services strategy to implement and evaluate evidence-based Transport Service programs to meet CCQs strategic objectives.
  • Monitor state-wide transport services to minimise risk and adhere to appropriate Work Health and Safety standards.
  • Monitor and report on service budgets, income and expenditure approvals and budget preparation.
  • Oversee recruitment and provide leadership, training, and support, to all employees and volunteer drivers providing regular feedback to facilitate communication and professional development.
  • Establish and maintain networks with key stakeholders in Government and Non-Government sectors to maximise.

This role is Permanent, Full-time 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Essential Skills :

  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role in transport or fleet management.
  • An understanding of the impact that the diagnosis and treatment of cancer has on individuals, their partners and families.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of the community.
  • Proven ability to organise, manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office and transport scheduling/booking software.
  • Ability to work autonomously within a small team environment with a high level of time management and organisational skills.
  • Experience in handling confidential information.
  • Current Queensland Drivers’ Licence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines with strong attention to detail.

Desirable Skills :

  • Qualifications or relevant experience in Transport.
  • Experience promoting safe work practices.
