Expressions of Interest - Master

We are seeking expressions of interest from an experienced Master interested in leading the operation of the Huon Supply. The role Located in Port Huon, the Master will lead the operation of the Huon Supply, ensuring strict adherence to AMSA requirements, maritime regulations, and legislation. As the Master, you will be pivotal in managing both the vessel and crew, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Loading and Unloading Operations: Supervise the efficient loading and unloading of feed and oversee all maintenance activities to ensure optimal vessel performance. Crew Management: Maximise crew efficiency and operational readiness through effective coordination and management. Logistics Coordination: Oversee the timely and efficient delivery of essential supplies including feed, diesel, fuel, potable water, and ensure the prompt removal of waste from barges. Vessel Maintenance: Maintain the seaworthiness of the vessel, oversee all maintenance activities, and ensure that appropriate records are meticulously kept. Safety Management: Continuously monitor and assess the Safety Management System, promptly addressing and reporting any deficiencies. Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and inspire a small team to achieve operational excellence. About you You hold a Master <80m Near Coastal or equivalent certification with substantial experience in managing vessel survey requirements. You have a thorough understanding of maritime law, legislation, and class vessel requirements. You are an excellent communicator who enjoys building strong relationships with stakeholders. You have a proven track record of working proactively and leading a team to success. You are confident in your knowledge of Maintenance Scheduling software and ability to use the Microsoft Office suite. You demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and maintain precise and accurate records.
