Are you a passionate leader with a flair for hospitality? We are looking for an enthusiastic Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our brand-new venue! The Sussex Hotel in Walkerville is undergoing major renovations and will reopen at full capacity in December—just in time for a busy summer holiday season! We are seeking dynamic and motivated hospitality professionals to join our leadership team and drive the hotel's long-term success. What You'll Do: - Customer Service: Create memorable dining experiences by ensuring high service standards and addressing customer concerns with professionalism and care. Handle complaints and resolve issues effectively and efficiently. - Training & Development: Train and mentor staff to uphold restaurant policies and deliver consistent, high-quality service. Build a food service team that seamlessly thrives under pressure. - Leadership: Lead, inspire, and manage a dedicated team to ensure top-notch service and a positive work environment. - Operations: Oversee all restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and adherence to health and safety standards. - Financial Management: Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and implement cost-control measures to maximise profitability, such as wages, overheads, pricing, wastage, etc. - Marketing & Promotions: Collaborate on marketing strategies and promotions to drive traffic and enhance the visibility of the hotel's food offering. What We’re Looking For: - Minimum five years’ experience in similar roles. - Proven ability to train and manage staff in a fast-paced environment - RSA, RP Badge - TAB, Keno, RSG (preferred) - Availability to work five shifts per week, including evenings and weekends. - Australian citizen or permanent resident. Applicants must live in/around Adelaide. - Excellent ability to execute busy service and support the team with functions and events. - Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for guest satisfaction - A collaborative attitude, with the drive to ensure The Sussex Hotel becomes a key destination in Adelaide.
