Your new company
Our client is a well established manufacturer and supplier of Industrial & Safety Workwear and Footwear. Unlike other suppliers, they do not rely on Industrial & Safety Distributors, but provide their products by signing contracts and distributing directly to end users in the Mining & Minerals, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing and Construction industries.
Their products are renowned for their quality and durability, they have a loyal customer base and rolling contracts that contribute good annuity revenue. However, they are now looking to hire a Sales Manager to help grow their business, initially across Western Australia, but the business also has aspirations to develop markets across Australia.

Your new role
As the Sales Manager, you work closely with the General Manager and Managing Director and will be responsible for developing new business with customers in Mining & Minerals, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing and Construction.
The business leverages sales by liaising with multiple stakeholders in that customer base - engaging in particular with Procurement and the Health & Safety Managers to sign contracts of supply, then with Area, Site and Store Managers to ensure stock management and sales at a site level.
This is an autonomous role where you will spend the majority of your time developing new business across Western Australia whilst also servicing some key accounts. However, the business also has a growth appetite - and is open to exploring national opportunities in their specialised field.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience in a sales role supplying products to the Mining & Minerals, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing and Construction industries.

While they specialise in Workwear and Footwear, they are open to candidates from any product sales into the above verticals - whether that is other PPE and Industrial & Safety products, Power Tools, or any other consumables whereby service contracts are agreed for the provision of products.

You will need a proven track record of solution-selling high volumes of products over long sales cycles to achieve multi-million dollar budgets.
