The RSPCA is an independent, community-based charity providing animal care and protection services across the country with the vision of preventing cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection.

About the Role

The role of Inspectorate Leader, internally titled Chief Inspector will uphold the RSPCA vision through leadership to the Inspectorate and Rescue teams. Together with the Head of Animal Welfare and internal Legal Counsel, you will ensure effective Inspectorate operations. Mentoring and developing staff as well as supporting their wellness will be key outcomes for this vital role.

Duties

• Act in the role of Inspector to evaluate, rescue and seize animals
• Coordinate and report on operations and oversee prosecutions
• Monitor and manage team performance
• Support team members’ development, training, and engagement
• Develop, implement and review policy and procedure

Skills & Experience

• Recent success in a leadership role
• A background in animal welfare, law enforcement or related field
• Maintain a full, clear drivers’ licence and NPC
• Willingness to undertake vaccinations relevant to animal care
