Administration Officer (Human Resource) Eden Ritchie is seeking an Administration Officer (Human Resource) who will be part of the Human Resource Team that provides Administration support to the Biosecurity Queensland Business Group. 2 month contract with possible 12 month extension Brisbane CBD location As the Administration Officer (Human Resource), your key responsibilities will include: Analyse, interpret, and provide routine advice on state government legislation, regulations and departmental HR policy, instructions, or procedural guidelines for BQ employees and managers. Assist in maintaining systems and procedures to ensure their relevance and effectiveness e.g., periodically checking the quality of workforce data in Aurion, providing BQ staff with access to team SharePoint sites, auditing Tadpole Timesheet records etc. Administer and update BQ’s workforce profile and establishment in Aurion and ensure that updates are reflected in the organisational chart on the Our Capability and Development SharePoint Site. Contribute to the evaluation of human resources services and initiatives to ensure these are directed to supporting Biosecurity Queensland’s business outcomes. Provide support in the preparation and development of reports, submissions, briefing notes and other correspondence in relation to a range of human resources issues. Develop and maintain strong professional networks with other areas of relevance, in particular Queensland Shared Services, to ensure effective business and corporate coordination in a contemporary public service environment. Link closely with Corporate HR and the HR network to coordinate and facilitate appropriate, targeted, and proactive HR solutions to assist customers achieve their business objectives. Maintain sound knowledge of contemporary human resource management practices to ensure currency of knowledge and skills and service outcomes for clients. Contribute to and participate on a range of Human Resource team agendas including team meetings and network events. Provide support to the AO6 Senior Business Services Officer (HR) and the AO5 Business Services Officer (HR) on a range of areas including but not limited to, routine information about employee and industrial relations, performance management, recruitment and selection, workforce planning and reporting, learning and development. Highly Desirable to this role are: A relevant qualification in human resources/ employee relations from a recognised tertiary institution, would be well regarded.
