Role Overview: The Senior Project Engineer will join a dynamic team in Brisbane and play a pivotal role in the development phase of a significant solar and battery project. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of the project from inception to completion. Responsibilities: Lead engineering efforts during the project development phase, overseeing the design, planning, and execution of solar and battery systems. Work closely with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical evaluations to optimize project performance and mitigate potential issues. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to meet established milestones and deliverables. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and project teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Collaborate with procurement and construction teams to facilitate the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for project implementation. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in project engineering, preferably within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar and battery projects. In-depth knowledge of solar and battery technologies, grid integration, and energy storage systems. Strong understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of leading successful engineering projects from conception to completion. Proficiency in project management software and engineering tools. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally to project sites as required.
