Job Description : An exciting opportunity in our Melbourne office is available for an experienced, creative, and motivated Façade Remedial Manager to become part of the team. You will be collaborating with the best in the business, building on your specialised technical knowledge whilst working on the design of some of the most exciting projects in Australia.

As the Façade Remedial Manager - Victoria, you will be part of Inhabit’s senior team with responsibility for developing and managing a portfolio of clients and projects and pro-actively growing the Façade Remedial, Material Science and Forensic practice. This role will focus on Victoria and the southern Australian states. You will bring experience in the façade industry with strong existing client connections and a willingness to build new connections from within and outside Inhabit’s existing network.

You will have technical responsibility for all design, documentation, administration and compliance on projects undertaken by the Melbourne Façade Remedial team. Maintaining high technical standards on projects and within the design team that result in quality outputs will be a key focus. Inhabit’s Quality Management System is compliant with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 STANDARD and as technical manager you will maintain all project documentation to the requisite level and the business’s commitment to quality.

You will be responsible for the financial management of projects, meeting revenue targets, monitoring project billing and managing business risk. This includes completing projects on time and to budget. You will also need to fulfil any legal responsibilities commensurate with the role.

Your typical day at Inhabit could involve :

  • Developing and managing a portfolio of clients and projects Managing Projects personnel to suit programs and project budgets
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance and support for staff
  • Reviewing and mentoring team members to prepare technical reports
  • Undertake on-site façade / building diagnostic investigations (including water penetration investigations, failure of façade elements and concrete testing and analysis)
  • Aiding the expansion of material technology, waterproofing, remedial and durability sector
  • Project management of façade remedial work projects
  • Monitoring financial aspects of the project while ensuring appropriate risk appraisal
  • Provide technical assistance to build façade contractors relating to the weatherproofing and installation of various façade systems
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing or prospective clients to ensure repeat business as well as pursue new business opportunities to expand the practice

Qualifications :
