Tjuwanpa Outstation Resource Centre Aboriginal Corporation TORAC), situated 125km west of Alice Springs via a bitumen road. Established in 1984 to take care of the municipal services needs of the local outstations, TORAC still delivers a range of programs and services to the community and surrounding outstations.

About the Role

Tjuwanpa are recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced employment consultant to join our team in Ntaria (Hermannsburg).

The successful candidate will provide job coaching and mentoring to jobseekers with a range of barriers to employment.

Individuals and couples encouraged to apply as there are multiple positions available within the organization.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Minimum 1 year experience in Employment Services working in either Job Active, DES or CDP.
  • Ability to adhere to departmental contract guidelines, policies & procedures.
  • Respect for and an understanding of Aboriginal rights, culture and the challenges Aboriginal people face accessing employment, training and other services.
  • Demonstrated Experience achieving set KPI’s.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide individual case management.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation relating to employment including Anti-discrimination, Equal Employment opportunity, Occupational Health & Safety, Privacy and Fair Work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, OneNote, Outlook & Teams
  • Ability to obtain an NT Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance)
  • Ability to obtain an NT Open drivers license
  • Ability to obtain Police Clearance
