Imagine Rural - Southern NSW Local Health District What you'll be doing The Medical Radiation Scientist provides a quality, sustainable diagnostic imaging service by actively participating in the multidisciplinary delivery of person-focused services to the patients, clients and clinicians of Southern NSW LHD. Selection Criteria - Current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), EPA licence to use radiation (IA1and unrestricted drivers' licence with the ability to maintain. - High-level written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact with a wide range of people. Ability to provide a wide range of imaging services, including CT, with minimal supervision. - Ability to work within a team, and share the allocation of workloads according to skills and competencies, and to participate in the department roster including on-call as required. - Ability to interpret request information, select the most appropriate protocol and adapt imaging if necessary. - Evidence of ongoing involvement in continued professional development. - Working knowledge of legislation, regulations, policies and procedures affecting medical imaging. - Experience working in a range of clinical settings. Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases This is a Category A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2023 022. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
