Us We are a large international company working on cutting edge software in the underground mining sector. Based in any of Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth, this exciting position provides exposure to the underground mining sector in a friendly and dynamic team. We provide opportunities to grow your skill set and knowledge around all aspects of mining and the software development process. Our local team works globally with other product groups and remote customers to provide opportunity to travel for face to face collaboration and on-site activities. You You are a technical leader with a history of identifying and analysing real world problems. You will be an out of the box thinker who is happy working on a variety of problems. You are a self-starter who enjoys seeing a solution through to completion. You take pride in the quality of your work and enjoy collaborating with the wider team and customers to help define and create the best products possible. You may have experience with automation or machine integration systems that utilise sensory inputs to deliver tracking and optimisation of mine sites or other manufacturing/plant operations. You enjoy occasional trips to mine sites and enjoy watching a solution achieve its objective for our customers. Responsibilities: Gain a thorough understanding of Minestar and the capability/feature set(s) applicable Coordinate and lead delivery teams as part of a corporate product development governance framework and report progress and issues through to program and product managers Develop project artefacts including project charters, gateway review packs and tactical project plans Identify and resolve conflicting requirements across the team and the program of work Identify functional and technical dependencies across multiple products and product components Manage high priority customer issues for products in the field, including escalation reporting to stakeholders and tracking six sigma based issue resolution processes Participate in agile planning processes as part of a SAFe process framework Work with delivery teams to ensure scope is understood and work estimates are reflective Clearly define quality expectations then understand and accept assessment of product risk identified by Verification & Validation teams Contribute to the definition of product technical roadmaps and multi-generational plans that satisfy business and customer needs within the constraints of our delivery capabilities Contribute to governance gateways as part of the product development process framework Contribute to the definition of acceptance criteria for product capabilities to ensure clarity for stakeholders Contribute to annual and program lifecycle budgets and cashflows Mentor and develop junior team members Experience required: 5+ Years of relevant commercial experience Skills Required: Team leadership for both direct and virtual teams – Initiate/ lead team activities and collaborate with broader organisation to solve problems Agile and other Project Management discipline experience Experience with engineering based Product Development Experience with Requirements Management processes and tools Skills Desired: Autonomous vehicles, robotics or other dynamic system applications Understanding of networking and distributed systems Understanding of underground mining processes Personal Attributes: Strong customer focus Willingness to learn and consistent approach to self-development and improvement Willingness to take on-board and provide feedback to colleagues, junior team members, and leaders Strong analytical, design and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively manage your own time and agreed priorities Asks for help as appropriate and demonstrates that they have learnt from it.
