Our client is an innovative and well respected Not for Profit organisation working towards alleviating poverty. The organisation engages with key decision makers in government, business, and the broader community to achieve social change. The organisation holds the licence to deliver an internationally recognised initiative, a two-year structured home-based early childhood learning and parenting program. The aim the Early Childhood Program :

  • Provide a child with a structured education -focused early learning program at home
  • Improve children’s preparedness for school and strengthen school participation
  • Build the confidence and skills of parents and carers to create a positive home leaning environment
  • Support employment and community leadership opportunities for the coordinators, home tutors and parents
  • Strengthen communities

About the role : This role will provide leadership to the Communications and Learning & Development team; you will directly supervise a team of staff to deliver the operational requirements of the National Program Network in 100 communities across Australia. Develop and implement Communications Strategy across the Network inclusive of recruitment approaches, regular network engagement communications, website management and marketing/ material development; develop and implement Training and Development Program across the Network inclusive of Learning Management System, training content development, facilitation and training, consultation and coaching opportunities , and distribution across network; influencing Government Policy for investment in initiatives and represent the organisation across a number of key strategic network opportunities.

About You :

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience, in Communications and Marketing, Community Development Administration and Learning and Development, Management and relevant disciplines
  • Strong experience in project management
  • Experience in leadership and operational management roles leading and managing effective teams
  • Familiarity with the needs if vulnerable families and children
  • Well developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels, both internally and externally
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Sound knowledge of MS office Suite
  • Current drivers’ licence
