A great water front restaurant view, we're considered a unique experience in dining. Our patrons enjoy an ever changing menu, taking advantage of the freshest seasonal ingredients and cutting edge trends in dining. We're ready and able to cater for just about any palate, and any occasion, from intimate meals to casual gatherings, functions and events. We now seek a qualified Chef & Cook to run our kitchen and keep up with demand. This is a rewarding position in a great business and we look for the successful applicant to start ASAP. As our Chef / Cook, you will take care of all aspects of cooking including ensuring the highest quality of ingredients are used to provide the best tasting dishes and that the presentation of food is highly appetizing. Note :- We have 2 Position Available Responsibilities: You will be charged with the responsibility to build culture, consistency and memorable moments for the diners. Manage all aspects of kitchen operations. Employs food safety best practices and makes sure that all kitchen staff members do the same Cooks guests' orders according to their preferences Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served Above the standard ability in your culinary skills, working with fusion, delicate and often precise dishes. Determines how much food to order and maintains an appropriate supply at the restaurant Adjusts food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns Estimates expected food consumption and organizes preparation Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Previous experience with different type of Cuisine. A Management style that supports and recognizes skills, with the end result of building more professional and passionate individuals Creativity and the desire to learn, grow, and improve own skills Experience in high volume, high pressure environments that expect and demand the best Ensure compliance with local and company health, safety and sanitation standards Assume 100% responsibility for quality of food served Schedule the Kitchen rosters. Maintain budget in all financial areas: food, labor, and operating costs. To be considered for our role you have: A demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, professional and demanding kitchen. Proven experience as Chef or minimum 3 year as cook Work experience including but not limited to grills, pans, larder and desserts. Flexibility with regards to your working hours, passion to produce consistently high quality dishes and presenting them accordingly. A strong work ethic and ability to multitask. A willingness to be innovating and creative. Enthusiasm and a love for cooking food. Working rights in Australia. For qualifications, we require someone who has a qualification (e.g. Certificate of Commercial Cookery). Any previous experience will be considered advantageous. You will be able to work independently as necessary and will be rewarded with a friendly and supportive work environment. Our role is permanent full time, a competitive salary and superannuation package, along with excellent conditions, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
