Join the Civmec Team This is a great opportunity to join our Civil team working on the newly awarded Wester n Range project located in the Pilbara, Western Australia. The Project Civmec has secured the award of a major construction contract for the Rio Tinto Western Range Project at their Paraburdoo site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The iron ore project includes Greenfields and Brownfields scope with the construction of a new Run of Mine (ROM) pad, primary crushing facility, overland conveying circuit and modifications to the Coarse Ore Stockpile (COS) and downstream conveying system. What’s on Offer - Expected project completion 2024 - FIFO 3 : 1 Roster - FIFO from all Australian Capital Cities - Opportunity to be a part of Civmec’s largest Civil SMP Construction Project and join our growing construction team Your Background To be successful in the role you will possess the following : - Preparing and positioning plant for operation - Hold the relevant High Risk Work license for type of machine - Selecting, fitting and removing attachments such as buckets, loading scoops, shovel blades and rock breaking hammers - Operating controls to excavate, break, drill, level, compact, gouge out, move, load and spread earth, rock, rubble, soil and other materials - Monitoring operation of plant and adjusting controls to regulate pressure, speed and flow of operation, and ensuring safety of other workers - Servicing, lubricating, cleaning and refuelling plant and performing minor adjustments and repairs - Other general duties as required e.g. yard & work-site cleaning, storage-area maintenance, spotting duties - 2+ years Industrial experience as an Operator - Nationally Recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card - Drivers License - Previous construction experience on a remote project within the mining and resources sector (preferable)
