Balonne Shire Council is located in Queensland’s South Western region, known for its vibrant agricultural base, particularly in cotton, grain, and livestock production. We are seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead the Council and its dedicated team. Reporting to the Mayor and elected members, you will guide the development and implementation of Council’s strategic goals, manage resources, and ensure the delivery of key services to the community. You will be responsible for driving sustainable financial management, economic development, fostering community engagement and delivering innovative solutions to local challenges.
This role would suit an individual with a track record in leading teams, managing budgets, and handling complex stakeholder relationships, ideally within local government or a similar environment. The successful candidate will have strong communication and leadership skills, coupled with the ability to implement organisational change and engage effectively with both the Council and the community.
