ABOUT THE ROLE : Public Sector People (PSP) are seeking experienced Finance Business Partners/Management Accountants on behalf of a Local Council in St George - Sutherland. This is a 3-month contract with an opportunity to extend or go permanent. You'll work closely with the Head of Financial Strategy & Performance and Team Leader of Financial Planning & Analysis to meet the strategic objectives of the Council.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING :
- Be a trusted advisor and add value that will assist in Council decision making
- Planning, forecasting, budgeting reviews, presenting monthly financial results and coordinate analysis
- Maintaining systems, analysing high-level performance reports, providing detailed supporting data to to meet financial information needs to various levels of council staff.
- Proactively analyse complex financial issues to provide quality technical advice and recommendations.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING :
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, commerce, business or a related field
- Previous experience in Government/Education/NFP industry
- Technology One experience (Desirable)
- Strong emotional intelligence and a proven ability to work collaboratively and foster effective strategic relationships with people at all levels both internally and externally
