Our Vision: “Ngaanyatjarra people living on their country and keeping strong.” About the Position The Warburton Roadhouse is seeking to fill two vacant positions of a Roadhouse All-Rounders to assist with the satisfactory operation of the Roadhouse. What is required: - Undertaking the accurate operation of all points of sale - Stock takes and ordering - Maintenance and development of retail displays - Cleaning and maintaining of accommodation, ablutions blocks and campgrounds - Assist with the preparation of meals and take-away food. - Assisting the Roadhouse Manager in other duties as required. What we offer: - Generous base salary plus remote allowances - Salary Packaging available - 8 weeks leave per annum - 17.5% leave loading on 4 weeks annual leave - Opportunity to work with a leading non for profit organisation What you bring: - Ability to work with and under the direction of traditional Aboriginal people in a “dry” (no alcohol) community - Previous experience working in a Roadhouse or comparable retail enterprise - Basic problem solving, and conflict resolution skills - Well-developed organisational and planning skills - Good numeracy, written and oral communication skills - Ability to use stock control and word processing computer programs - Ability to operate cash registers, store refrigeration and other equipment, and identify minor faults - Knowledge of the storage and display requirements of refrigerated and general stock - Basic knowledge of stock control principles - Ability to operate maintenance equipment such as a lawn mower, brush cutter - Ability to maintain a high standard of hygiene for ablution blocks and accommodation - Current drivers’ licence - Ability to operate a forklift is desirable.
