Our Vision: “Ngaanyatjarra people living on their country and keeping strong.” About the Position Ngaanyatjarra Council are seeking a Money Educator / Money Coach to join our team based in Warburton. With the support of Westpac, the purpose of this position is to deliver and support the building of financial capability to the Ngaanyatjarra communities. What is required: - Work collaboratively with Westpac and council to effectively engage and communicate with community members, local groups, and agencies with a focus on financial capability building - Plan, implement and evaluate financial education programs and activities which aim to build financial capability and support the community - Follow-up clients who disengage from banking and education to encourage ongoing participation - Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships and communication within the community - Operate the Financial Hub ensuring community members have access to banking services online and via the phone, and the financial education to help them manage their money and carry out basic banking tasks - Act as a connection between the service provider and the community by delivering education or referring community individuals to appropriate services such as the Indigenous Connection team. What you bring: - Proven experience working with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander communities to build relationships, understanding and capability Knowledge of local community and culture would be an advantage - Personal passion and enthusiasm for financial literacy and financial education - Ability to communicate effectively both in oral and written form with the ability to deliver messages with cultural sensitivity to a wide variety of audiences or varying literacy levels and cultural backgrounds - Ability to effectively influence, negotiate and manage expectations - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or other adult education qualification desirable - Evidence of delivering educational content desirable.
